Parting with art?

I'm finally getting to the point where I don't miss things so much when I ship them away in the mail. I just feel incredibly grateful for having had the chance to make them. (Of course, it doesn't hurt than I have digital photos of everything I make, tehe! I don't know how they did it in the old days...)

What about you guys? How do you feel about parting with your art?

New ACEOs

I have some new originals available! Both are ACEO size (2.5 x 3.5").

"Vintage Jewel"

 "Mother"

I hope you're not getting too sick of seeing ACEO pieces! I've been so busy with graduate school that this is a wonderful size for me - it means I can FINISH something! lol. I am going to try to do some mid-size pieces soon (4x6 - 5x7" or so). I hope that everyone is doing well!

Noferin

Noferin just marked my print as a favorite. I think I forgot how to breathe.

If you don't know who Noferin is, check out: noferin.com. I'm completely obsessed and own all of the Jibibuts (plus one extra) and the blue Pandacake, who is currently in their etsy icon. She follows me from the bookshelf in my bedroom to my computer desk on a daily basis.

Inspirations: Carin Berger

Not so long ago, I discovered the fantastic illustrator Carin Berger. I was just snooping along the shelves at Borders and found Forever Friends and just had to buy it because of the beautiful illustrations. You can pick out bits and pieces of magazines and water bills in the collages, and the swooping shapes of the bird and bunny are gorgeous. The story is also very sweet & a nice way to teach young children about the changing seasons and migration. I've used my personal copy in a few storytimes at the library and the children always love the bird and bunny.

Forever Friends

Because I loved this book so much, I decided to order a copy of The Little Yellow Leaf. This is another beautiful book, with a story that is both simple and sweet. It is created in the same collage style, with some very impressive spreads...

Happy reading!
