The Wonderfully Talented Peter Chan

I have to say, something about blogging has made me luckier. Tangibly luckier. Like the other day, when I went to my mailbox, I found this envelope from Peter Chan (an FSC certified envelope, I might add), containing the most beautiful limited edition gocco print. Peter Chan had a contest on his blog, and I was one of the very lucky winners!

 Isn't she insanely gorgeous? I guess it's only to be expected from Peter Chan, whose gorgeous illustrations appeared in The Familiars (see below). He is currently working on images for the second book in the series, due out in September 2011.

You can't tell in the photo, but the pale pink ink has a beautiful shimmer to it.

I love the subtle variation in color here...

I have always thought that water sprites and mermaids should be just as mysterious and deadly as their less fantastical counterparts...

Also, I know I'm a bit behind the curve on this, but I'm currently OBSESSED with this book.

Fairy Greeting Cards Available!

 It's been a long time coming, but I finally have my little Earth Fairies available as a card set! You can check them out in my shop!

   The margins were off on the first printing of these, so I had to contact the printers and wait for a second printing. The second printing just came in and I'm so happy with them! Perfect margins, and the paper is thick and satiny. It is also FSC credited, which is very important to me.

 The Little Fairies Card Set comes with (3) of each design and (3) white envelopes. The cards are blank inside, so you can write your own message. I think they are perfect for birthdays and thank you cards!

 I also have sets of just the Little Green Fairy design available. Again, they come in a set of (3) and I think the matching cards would be great for invitations! (Tea party, anyone?)
