To color or not to color - what do you guys think? Originally I was going to do colored pencils, but I kind of like the way it looks in b&w. Maybe instead of touching the original I'll do digital color...
this is sweet as can be i am sure if you added color that would be lovely too. recently i did one sketch 3 different ways. One in ink, one in watercolor, the last colored pencils. In the comments it was varied as to which was liked best. so I say do what excites you.
This is so stunning and enchanting. I think you should leave it like this...there is something about b/w in your artwork that leaves it very mysterious and eye catching. I always have a dilemma with myself when it comes to coloring. I like the sketchy sort of look. Yours however...is like a painting in graphite. Your soft vignette sort of background with the lighter center always gives off a great effect and a grand focus on your subject.
It's beautiful just like this, but a colour one would be lovely too :) Hmm, I can't decide. Perhaps if you don't want to touch the original, digital colouring might be the best way. Either way, this is perfect as is, so soft and dreamy!
I love the way she is now :) serene and calming :D The shading around her seems more like glowing which makes her looking very fantasy-like (she is already a wonderful fantasy, isin't she?) :D
Dear Sara, Thank you for visiting my blog and a kind comment. You make a pretty and beautiful illustration. Please keep up and hope you will enjoy a librarian work in the future! Best wishes, Sadami
